If you are looking for a good horse shelter for abused and neglected horses. A great one is Last Chance Ranch. They will take in horses that need help, meet their needs and then will interveiw people that are interseted in the horse and if they like one of the people who they intervewied will sell the horse to them.
Another Animal rescue that is more for house pets, although there are some horse ones rarley, is the SPCA. They take in abondond animals and find homes for them.
