Arabian Halter question?

When I set up my horse for halter she stretches her neck and her ears are forward but her back leg, the farthest wont stay down... how can I correct this?
Answers:
Back your horse up just a bit just until she is leaning on it.
If she wont then back her up completely and re set her up.
Use a up (head up) and back motion to get her to put weight on her back foot.
Also, remember you dont want her parked out, you just want that leg back. She may be stretching it a little too far back. There should be no more than a foot between the two back legs. You could try correcting that, if that is what is happening.
This is common with a lot of Arabians that are just learning how to stand properly.
Your horse will get the hang of it, mine get so used to it, no matter when i stop her, riding everything she just sets her self up.
Good Luck and enjoy showing your Arab, is soo much fun!!
Ask her to back just enough to rock her body weight onto that foot. Maybe it is stretched too far back, like in an actual stretch not set. Does that make sense?
either back her slightly to shift the weight, or push her sideways a little bit.
