Anyone want to buy a horse?

I have 2 horses I really need to sell but wont take to auction. I have a warmblood 2yr old filly and a pinto/shire cross yearling. Both of these horses are going to be great for anything and need good homes not to go to slaughter or stuff like that. Located in Oklahoma

You can put them for sale on Liverystable.net. It's a really neat horse website with lots of horses for sale, a forum to talk to other "horse" people, and training advice. Here's the link: http://www.liverystable.net Good luck selling your horses.
I know we're a ways away from you but here in VA there's a lady here that does the auctions and she was in the Richmond Times Dispatch Newspaper (inrich.com) and if you contact her she might just have an answer. She and her entire family run this thing. They do this once a month or once a couple of months or whatever. They also handle the tack and contacts for owners etc. search on the site for Horse auction or e-mail the editor and ask about her and how to get in touch with her. Good luck! A horse lover.

An auction will not end in slaughter if you are allowed to set a base price below which you will not sell. Just make sure that your base price is quite a bit more than your local price per pound. Talk to some of your local breeders (especially race horse or Quarter horse breeders), most of them know the best set price.
