Any ideas . . .?

I'm thinking about buying a western show pad that's very plain and want to "spice it up" a bit so it is more showy. The pad is just plain red; my plan is to make it look cute yet kinda showy without spending the extra bucks. Any ideas? I don't want to buy any silver/concho sets because those are pricy and I don't want to do anything that looks tacky. Anybody have ideas as far as how to make a plain show pad look nice and showy? Thanks all.

Someone mentioned glitter glue...That would be pretty cool to use-- you can try painting it on and then reapplying when it wears off...you can also buy some other kind of fabric (old tee shirt? blanket?) and sew 3-4 large stars on so that it's not tacky but classic looking (yet not boring.) Maybe you could sew them like in the corner of each side, have one big, one small and one medium.??
I would get some glitter yarn ( they have some really cool colors) and make designs with that to match your shirt etc.
Maybe horse hair tassels one on each back end.

i think you should just buy a classy patterned show pad. glitter and such just makes the pad gaudy and tacky, even if you're just showing at the open show level. check out rods western, ebay, or sergeants.
