Any excersizes to help post without stirrups?

Answers:
Try moving your legs up in a jockey position and posting. The extra leverage will make it easier. Then, slide your legs down a couple of inches and post again. By the time your legs reach the correct position, you should be able to post a little bit higher without stirrups.
The best thing I've found is to include no stirrup time in each of your lessons. It's difficult to engage the same muscles used for riding when you are out of the saddle. Maybe squats or any exercise that strengthens your leg muscles.
for a little time each time you ride, drop your stirrups for maybe five minutes and post a trot. eventually, you'll be able to do it realy well.
I forget what they're called but standing with your back against the wall and you legs out in front of you in a sitting position really helped me. It's a bit hard, so start out not doing much, half a minute a few times a day maybe, and go up from there.
Wall sits work wonders.
I use to do this when I first got into endurance racing with my horses.
It sounds like a stupid exersize, but it REALLY works. Bend at the knees a bit, keeping your heels flat on the ground. Place a large book (or even two!) like a big dictionary, or phone book between your knees.
Now squeeze and hold that book with your knees. This will give you thighs of IRON. Do it mutltiple times (the repitition really builds the muscles) like 10 times for 15 seconds at a time.
This excersize sounds easy and stupid, but give it a try. You will immediatly feel your thigh muscles working. After a few reps of this, your thighs will be screaming.
Very soon you will have thighs of iron, and no problems posting without stirrups. I can litterally post without stirrups for hours, because of my strong thigh muscles.
Best of all, you will feel very much in control, and your lower legs will not flop around.
Good luck,

Well, the best way is to use stirrups since thats what you are going to be using when you actually ride but, if you really think that not using a horse or stirrups is a good way to build up riding muscles, i suggest wall sit ups are the closest thing to posting.
stand with the ball of your foot on the edge of a step and do squats remember to drop your heel as you rise ur holding a roll of paper towel long ways it help with tightening muscles as you rise but the best way is practice while mounted
If you post without stirrups a few mins in every ride it makes it much more easy to do also try doing two point without stirrups and that will help
i had to do that a lot as a kid i had a mean riding instructor... we did a lot of ground work using your knees will all you need to do . the stronger your knees the better your riding will be
The only real advice I can give you is to try a little bit of ironless work every time you ride. That will definitely help you out. The muscles you use while riding differ from the ones you use in everyday exercises.
Do sit-ups or crunches and you will be amazed by strengthening your core muscles with help you with your no stirrups work.
You can do stretching exercises at home, bending your knees while holding onto a bar.
You could also jump rope. In any event, try to post without stirrups every time you ride increasing to more and more posts. Remember when you post let the horse thrust you up and out of the sadde, keep control of you body. Some horses are easier to post on than others. A horse that has more action is easier to post than one who does not.
