My daughter is 13 we want a therapy horse/pony for her. We want to buy it. It doesn't have to be trained for therapy, but it has to be calm enough for an extreamly jumpy, and nervous (anxiety disorder and asperger) kid. If it is a 14 hh and up it MUST be broke to ride with the conditions above!
Do you know a web site that will have calm/therapy horses for sale by states?

Ok, so these horses all look great. If you will notice, they are all rated a 1 (with ten being spirited) so they should be calm and quiet. I'm sorry they're all over the country, but if you give us some more info, we can give you more horses!!
Good luck!!
Horsetopia, HorsesForSale, Equine.com
I think these are the best, just go on and you can designate search criteria. Obviously this isn't completely easy, because people can still lie, but mostly people are pretty honest, and they can designate that the horse is therapy usable on these.
Perhaps a nearby therapeutic riding center would have a horse or pony that needs a new home, or is ready to retire from the regular program.
You can try any of the equine sales websites to look for a horse that suits your needs...
equine.com
dreamhorse.com
horsecity.com
horsetopia.com
horseville.com
donatemyhorse.com
agdirect.com
breedersexchange.com
there's so many sites - but since you are very specific in your needs, you might want to try calling any hippotherapy places near to your location and ask them about it. They might have one for sale that suits you. This would be a better start into your horse search than the websites. Good luck.
Dreamhorse.com 130% the best horse website to go on! They have message boards that you can ask questions on, you can talk to real, professional trainers, vets, anybody!, you can buy horses, sell horses, lease horses, get tipps on grooming products, horse health, showing giudelines, everything! I have 2 horses and my mom is addicted to that site...shes on it 6 hours a day lol.i HIGHLY reccomend that site!!

I use equine.com, dreamhorse.com, and wantaddigest.com
They all worked very well for me.As for finding a theraputic horse for your daughter, it may or may not be helpful. You can put an add up explaining your situation and see if you get and hits.
Hope this helps!
Try http://www.liverystable.net and do an advanced search for horses in your area. I know there are some very well broke, calm horses advertised, but I'm not sure what area you are in, so I'll let you search.
Have fun horse shopping!
